Does anyone know / experience have insurance policies with the umbrella?

I own a few properties down and dirty and a couple of old cars and it seems from what I can say it was a good idea to get one of these umbrella policies. Liability and property coverage type of course, but had curious if anyone has had any good or bad or whatever kinds of experience that would be willing to share in this, that might be helpful in the sale or purchase of this type of insurance? Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have umbrella coverage with State Farm Insurance Co., but I was lucky that he never used it. He makes me lie knowing they have less to worry about in my daily life. I think it was worth the price.
